Neha Sharma is an FDM Consultant placed at TD in Toronto. We recently caught up with her to find out more about her career journey and her role on-site utilising some of today’s most innovative technologies in the field of DevOps.

After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Punjab Technical University, Neha chose to move to Canada to continue her studies. In April 2018, she graduated with a certification in Mobile Solutions Development from Conestoga College located in Kitchener, Ontario. After completing her schooling, Neha began looking for employment opportunities. The career opportunities at FDM stood out to her so she decided to join the FDM Toronto Academy in June 2018 in the DevOps stream. In her own words, Neha chose to join the graduate careers programme because “I knew FDM could provide me with a great start to my career.”

Once she had completed her training, Neha was placed on-site with TD as a DevOps Engineer in August 2018. Neha describes the role as “very exciting and a chance to do what I love.” Her daily responsibilities include managing and supporting existing DevOps processes by managing scripts, application monitoring, intake support and environment provisioning and support. For her hard work and dedication, she recently received a ‘TD Appreciates Award’ to recognise her exceptional performance on-site. Neha demonstrated outstanding commitment and attention to detail in a recent production deployment making her an ideal recipient of this impressive award at TD. She is known for being a conscientious and diligent worker which has impressed her colleagues and made her a valuable resource on client site.

Neha’s favourite thing about her time with FDM was the training provided in the academy which helped her to expand her personal and professional skills before her on-site placement. She also highlights that FDM allowed her to connect with many new people. She describes the culture as “very diverse” and that the “environment is very welcoming.” After reflecting upon her own experience, Neha is keen to recommend FDM to others. As a result of her experience, Neha acknowledges that “FDM is providing great opportunities that can help to shape your career.”
