From day one at FDM we have always put our people first.

We’re constantly looking at ways we can enhance not just the success of the FDM community but their wellbeing and happiness.

Because we know that the quality of life doesn’t begin and end with the activities of a workday, we recently introduced a programme offering expert support and advice to help deal with everyday personal, family or work challenges.

The FDM Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

The EAP is a free and confidential service that can be accessed 24/7 by all members of the FDM community and their immediate family.

We want to ensure they have every opportunity to not just do well in their professional lives but also their personal lives.

Any FDM employee can contact the EAP at any time, 365 days a year, and speak to a credentialed professional for short-term counselling on emotional, financial, legal, family and work-life issues.

There could be many reasons to seek assistance

They may reach out to the EAP if they:

All phone calls are answered by a Guidance Consultant who will listen carefully and locate the best resource for them – from a counsellor in their community, to a legal or financial expert, to caregiving information.

All of these options offer expert advice and compassionate guidance round the clock, covering a wide range of issues. FDMers can receive not only reactive support when they need it but also proactive and preventative support to deliver the best possible outcomes.

A complete support network

The FDM EAP also offers online resources on a website where FDM employees can register to find a wealth of helpful, in-depth information. The down-to-earth advice covers specific topics under headings such as Wellness, Relationships, Work & Education, Finance, Legal, Lifestyle, and Property & Motoring.

They can also send a text question or use the available tools to customise resource recommendations. And they’ll have access to many short, interactive training modules to help build practical skills to deal with real-life challenges.
