Three FDM Apprentices, Vincent Boardman, Johnny Rodrigues and Muhammad Mamoon started an exciting new project with an energy client last year.
In the final year of their Digital Technology Solutions studies, they’re developing a new app for E.ON customers as their degree project.
Emily Canning, Senior Account Manager, FDM Group shared her thoughts –
‘These apprentices are in their final year of study, working toward completing their EPA at Sheffield Hallam University. With this programme, FDM and E.ON are investing in Sheffield student research with a focus on innovative and emerging technologies.
Since 2020, FDM Group has partnered with Sheffield Hallam University on a degree apprenticeship. Apprentices work and study on a 3-year programme, and will complete a BSc in Digital Tech Solutions.
Our nation-wide Apprenticeship Programme is fully funded by FDM, offering individuals from lower-socio economic backgrounds the opportunity to break into the world of tech careers. This programme enables FDM to contribute towards the government’s ambition of levelling up across underprivileged areas within in the UK, while pushing digital inclusivity forward in the process.
It’s fantastic to see the integration of academic learning and hands-on industry experience, empowering our apprentices to make a real impact in the energy sector.’
