A whole generation of technologists i.e. Baby Boomers will soon be retiring from the workforce. The younger generations don’t always have an understanding of how legacy technologies work. Case in point – the CrowdStrike incident from earlier this year where a software update forced millions of Windows 10 PCS into a bootloop causing disruption on a global scale. This highlighted the need for developing net new talent to replace the generation that’s leaving.

FDM CEO Rod Flavell spoke to TechSkills Journal about the present and future challenges of the tech industry and the need for government and private sector collaboration to create more opportunities for people.
